WHO?: Any LOCO member who has paid their 2019 dues at the time of the drive.
WHAT?: A more modest drive this year, to see some of the local roads and attractions closer to the Front Range that we usually pass by on our drives to more distant destinations. Intent is to drive on "Lotus appropriate roads" during the most scenic time of year when the aspens are turning gold and the likelihood of encountering ...uhhh..."adverse driving conditions" is minimized (if not eliminated).
WHERE?: Will include the Florissant Fossil Bed National Monument, Cripple Creek, Royal Gorge and the newly paved Cottonwood Pass between Gunnison and Buena Vista. Saturday night we will stay in Salida just east of Monarch Pass.
WHEN?: September is probably the busiest time of the year for car events. To prevent conflicting with most of them, we will go on the weekend of 28 and 29 September. Hopefully this will also help LOCO members who have job, school or other obligations during the week to participate.
COST?: No cost to participate, just pay your own expenses.
